4th Cultural Routes Summer Seminar, 1-5 June 2015 Bad Iburg

The 4th Council of Europe Cultural Routes Summer Seminar will be held in Bad Iburg - Osnabruck, at the headquarters of the Megalithic Cultural route (certified in 2013), in cooperation with the HECTOR Erasmus+ project, coordinated by the European Institute of Cultural Routes. Fifty participants, representing certified routes, new projects from all over Europe, students, universities and organisations partners of the Erasmus+ HECTOR project will attend the seminar.

The certified routes will work together during two days of workshops on different key issues: networking and leadership; sustainable cultural tourism product development; funding and crowdfunding; heritage interpretation and storytelling. Representatives of the certified routes will hold a peer-to-peer exchange and empowerment session with the candidate routes, sharing their experience on day-to-day implementation and practices on the Council of Europe certification criteria. Candidates will have the opportunity to “pitch their project”, work on their certification files with the help of the newly-published guide to cultural routes design and management (Council of Europe publications) and with the assistance of the team of the Institute.
