The Conference on Tourism Governance of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe takes place the 29-30 September 2016 at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. The meeting is organized in the framework of the HECTOR project (HEritage and Cultural Tourism Open Resources for innovative training schemes related to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe), by EIREST (Pantheon-Sorbonne University), CAST (University of Bologna in Rimini), LABPACT (University of Barcelona), la Fondazione Federico II and the European Institute of Cultural Routes. The purpose is to analyze new governance practices for the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe in all their various aspects, such as territory, culture, tourism, sustainability, and innovative approaches to research, education, training and youth. The Conference also aims to give participants the opportunity to exchange inter-sector practices and methods of cooperation that may form part of a Cultural Route and, more particularly, of cultural tourism.
